There are nine NBA games tonight and only one game has a spread of double-digits. Seven games have a line of 6.5 or less. Four games have a total of 220 or less.

Denver Nuggets (+9) at Utah Jazz, 9 p.m. ET

The Nuggets are playing for the second straight night, while the Jazz have been off since Saturday. The Nuggets had an easy time against the Blazers last night in a 127-99 win. The Jazz have lost four straight games, but are 18-4 at home. One of those losses came against the Nuggets in Denver, 106-100. The Jazz are 12-9-1 against the spread at home. The Jazz are 1-4 ATS in the last five games, while the Nuggets are 3-2 ATS. This is a lot of points to spot the Jazz. The Nuggets keep it close and cover the nine.

Phoenix Suns (-3) at Detroit Pistons, 7 p.m. ET

The Suns have 11 of their 20 wins on the road. They are coming off a 23-point road loss to the Nets, but the Pistons have been playing bad basketball. They beat a fatigued Denver team in an early east coast start time in overtime on Super Bowl Sunday and then followed up with just 82 points against the Grizzlies. Derrick Rose is out for the Pistons and Devin Booker and DeAndre Ayton should feast against a Pistons defense that has been one of the worst the last few weeks.

Atlanta Hawks (+4.5) at Minnesota Timberwolves, 8 p.m. ET

The Timberwolves have lost 12 games in a row. They shouldn't be favored by this many even against a bad Hawks team. At least the Hawks have been competitive against good teams, including a win against the 76ers last week. They lost to the Celtics by eight in their last game, while the Timberwolves lost to the Kings by four. The teams have met once this season with Minnesota winning, 125-113. The Timberwolves are 0-5 ATS the spread in the last five games.
