NBA Best Bets - August 3
Adam Ronis brings you his best bets for today's slate of games
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Denver Nuggets, 4 p.m. ET
Denver lost to Miami by 20 and the Thunder beat the Jazz by 16. As a result, the line is bigger than it should be. The Nuggets are without Gary Harris and Will Barton and Jamal Murray is questionable, but the team has depth. The Thunder are good and will be without Dennis Schroeder, who left the bubble as his wife is about to give birth. The Nuggets bounce back and keep it close. They are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 against the Thunder.
PICK: Nuggets +6.5
New Orleans Pelicans vs. Memphis Grizzlies, 6:30 p.m. ET
This is a huge game for both teams, especially the Pelicans. It seems Zion Williamson will be limited again after playing 15 and 14 minutes in the first two games. The Pelicans lost to the Jazz and were blown out by the Clippers. The Grizzlies are playing for the second consecutive day and have dropped their first two games to the Trail Blazers in overtime and the Spurs. The Grizzlies lead the Spurs by two, Blazers by 2.5 and the Pelicans and Kings by 3.5 games for the eighth seed. The game should be close.
PICK: Grizzlies +4.5
