Toronto Blue Jays at Atlanta Braves, 7:10 p.m. ET

The Blue Jays have the edge in starting pitching even with Hyun-Jin Ryu off to a slow start. He has pitched nine innings and allowed 13 hits, eight earned runs, four walks and struck out nine. Sean Newcomb takes the mound for the Braves and he still has issues with his command. He has made two starts against the Mets, pitching 7.2 innings and allowed nine hits, seven earned runs, three walks and struck out five. The Blue Jays right-handed bats will take advantage. The Blue Jays are a good value.

PICK: Blue Jays +120

Max Scherzer: Strikeouts O/U 7.5

Scherzer returns to the mound for the first time since July 29. He had pitched in two games and struck out 11 against the Yankees in 5.1 innings and then stuck out 10 in 7.1 innings against the Blue Jays. The Mets are struggling offensively, especially with runners on base. They struck out 13 times yesterday with starter Patrick Corbin striking out eight in 5.2 innings. Amed Rosario and Jeff McNeil are day-to-day with injuries and if they both sit the lineup gets worse. The Mets are striking out 9.75 times per game.

PICK: Over 7.5 (-144)

Yesterday: 0-1
