New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles (-5)
Another ugly-looking Thursday night football game here in Week 7 with the 1-5 Giants facing off against the 1-4-1 Eagles but I do have a lean here and that is with the home team.
The reasoning here boils down to the two offenses and while the Eagles are now without Miles Sanders and Zach Ertz, they are still averaging 23.5 points per game while the Giants are scoring just 16.8 points per games.
The Eagles are actually putting up points against some good defenses, averaging 28 points over the last two games in which they faced the Steelers and Ravens while the Giants managed just 20 points against the Washington Football team last week and has just once this season scored more than 20 points in a game.
The Eagles offense is going to outscore the Giants tonight and therefore take this game.
Pick: Eagles -5
Game Total: 44.5
Listen, these two teams' average point totals this year would combine for just 40.3 points which would hit the UNDER on today's game tonight. Add in the fact that this game is on a Thursday where offenses tend to struggle and the fact that the Eagles are also shorthanded here a bit with no Miles Sanders and Zach Ertz I just find it hard to think this one turns into a barn burner.
Pick: Under 44.5
Devonta Freeman rushing yards 54.5
The Eagles rank 12th in DVOA rating against the run this season and the Giants offensive line has been awful.
Freeman has been just OK since joining the team but I don't see him getting much done on the ground tonight given previous teams against the Eagles have also struggled to consistently run the football.
Pick: Under 54.5 rushing yards.
