Free Preview: NFL PickBook Week 15
Week 15 has a smaller slate after the Saturday games have started up. Rob Trayah looks at what is remaining as the playoff picture continues to clear.
Week 15 has already seen a big win by the Chargers, the Texans getting a miracle cover over the Jets, and the Browns going into Denver to cash their team total over for wins. There's a few good games left this Sunday/Monday so let's take a look at those worth risking some coin on.
|Team||Opp||Last5||H/A||STR||WG O/U||WG ML||Caesars O/U||Caesars ML||CGT O/U||CGT ML||BreakDown|
|New England Patriots||Pittsburgh Steelers||3-2||3-5||54||-150||54||-140||53.5||-145||53.5||-145||53.5||-150||53.5||-143||53.5||-138||Patriots -2.5: There's no doubt last week's loss to the Dolphins was a horrible result, but focus on some of the good things. Rob Gronkowski woke up, Tom Brady played well for 90% of the game, and the offense had an easy time of it. However, the running game has seemed to disappear and Sony Mmichel has regressed. Expect the Pats to try and fifuse the Steelers' pass rush by getting Michel going. The Steelers have lost three in a row (should have been four) and are reeling after a loss to the Raiders as a double-digit favorite. The Pats re going to be more discipline this week and need this game to get back into the home field discussion.|
|Dallas Cowboys||Indianapolis Colts||4-1||3-5||47.5||140||47||140||47||135||47||140||47||140||45.5||140||46.5||139||Cowboys +3: Dallas continues to find ways to win and goes on the road to Indy against a team surprisingly in the playoff race. Plain and simple, the Cowboys are a better team. With a better rushing attack, Amari Cooper finding is role, a better defense, and close to closing out the NFC East.|
|Minnesota Vikings||Miami Dolphins||2-3||5-3||44.5||-400||44.5||-330||44.5||-370||44.5||-340||44.5||-340||44.5||-357||44.5||-333||Vikings -7: Sure, this looks like a time for the Dolphins to cintinue their run, but let's remember that outside of a seven second play, Miami should have lost that game. Their defense with no Xavier Howard looked pedestrian and now they travel to Minnesota and a visit a desperate Vikings team. Each team that has beaten the Patriots this season has gone into somewhat of a tailspin and this seems like the perfect place to happen again. Minnesota needs the win to stay in the playoff chase so expect the players to understand the urgency after firing their OC this week.|
